Wash and peel potatoes or other vegetables such as carrots, parsnips or beet for vegetable chips. Then cut them into the thinnest slices using your Börner slicer and place them on the chip maker. Make sure that the slices do not overlap – this will make your homemade potato chips particularly crispy. You can then season the vegetable slices to taste. Ingredients

  

Chips

• 2 Karotten
• 2 Kartoffeln
• 2 Rübenwurzeln
• 2 Süßkartoffeln

Tomatendip

• 1 Tomate
• 1 Knoblauchzehe
• 1 TL Olivenöl
• 1/2 TL Thymian frisch
• Salz nach Geschmack
• Pfeffer nach Geschmack

Cheddar-Sauce

• 180 g Cheddar
• 250 ml Milch
• 2 EL Butter
• 2 EL Mehl
• 1 Prise Salz

Instructions

 

Zubereitung der Gemüsechips

• Gemüse ungeschält abwaschen und in feine Scheiben mit einem Börner Gemüseschneider in dünne Scheiben schneiden.
• Multimaker mit Wasser und Eis füllen und das geschnittene Gemüse in diesen füllen. Danach für 30 Minute ruhen lassen, damit die Stärke entweicht.
• Das geschnittene Gemüse zwischen zwei saugfähige Tücher legen um die Feuchtigkeit zu entfernen.
• Die getrockneten Gemüsescheiben getrennt voneinander auf den Crispymaker legen und bei 600W für 3-5 Minuten kross dörren.

Zubereitung des Tomatendips

• Öl in Pfanne geben und den Knoblauch rösten.
• Tomate mit Börner Reibe weich raspeln.
• Sobald der Knoblauch eine goldene Farbe annimmt, die geriebene Tomate mit Salz und Pfeffer würzen. Gut umrühren und mit aromatischem Thymian abrunden.

Zubereitung der Cheddar-Sauce

• Butter in der Pfanne schmelzen und Mehl hinzufügen.
• Für 2-3 Minuten umrühren bis die Mixtur eine goldene Farbe annimmt.
• Milch dazugeben und erneut umrühren.
• Sobald die Sauce fester wird, Pfanne vom Herd nehmen und den Cheddar sowie Salz hinzugeben und alles gut umrühren
